Build a functional squad
Prefer coverage: reliable damage, area control and utility instead of chasing one rarity label.

Clear Story in order
Finish every act on a map to unlock the next destination and its material pool.

Level first, evolve later
Feed map drops to units you actually deploy; save evolution materials until the recipe is confirmed.

Use rerolls carefully
Trait Crystals and stat locks are scarce early. Keep usable rolls while your roster is small.

Enter co-op prepared
Bring a team that can handle waves and bosses, and agree on placement roles before harder modes.
