What should you check before evolving a unit?
Evolution is a multi-resource decision, so confirm the complete recipe before farming or crafting any one material. Select the owned base unit in the live Evolve panel and compare every requirement with the same row on this page. Check the target form, Gold cost, unit-specific item, colored Sprites, and Rainbow Sprites together.
- Make sure the selected base unit matches the recipe and is not already the evolved form.
- Confirm that the target form is the unit you intend to build, not merely the first recipe you can afford.
- Count materials already in the inventory before deciding what to farm or craft.
- Check whether a required item has another planned use elsewhere in the roster.
- Use the current in-game panel as the final authority if a number differs from a public guide.
How do you turn a recipe into a farming plan?
Start with the missing requirement that has the narrowest acquisition path. The Items page explains reported sources for currencies, Sprites, food, rerolls, and equipment. The Maps page covers the current Story reward pools. Do not repeatedly farm a map just because it is the newest one you unlocked; choose the activity tied to the actual missing material.
- Write down the exact missing quantities from the live recipe.
- Separate Gold, common colored Sprites, Rainbow Sprites, and any unit-specific item.
- Check which requirements can be earned together and which need a different mode or crafting step.
- Farm one defined checkpoint, return to the inventory, and recount before continuing.
- Keep a small reserve instead of converting every flexible material as soon as one recipe becomes available.
Which unit should you evolve first?
Choose the evolution that solves the next progression problem and belongs to a unit you expect to keep using. A high community grade is useful context, but it does not replace team fit. Check the unit's reported role on the Tier List, then ask whether the team needs wave coverage, boss pressure, support, or a more affordable deployment plan.
Delay the evolution when the recipe is disputed, the base unit is not part of the active team, or completing it would consume every rare material without unlocking the next clear. A confirmed, achievable upgrade on a core unit is usually a safer target than a fashionable build with an incomplete recipe.
What should you do when recipes disagree?
Use the live Evolve panel before farming or crafting. Different reports can reflect an error, a later patch, or different wording, so averaging the quantities can leave you with the wrong materials.
If the panel resolves the disagreement, capture the full recipe, target form, and date with personal details removed. Send it through Contact so the supporting evidence can be reviewed. Until then, do not pre-craft materials for that recipe based only on one third-party list.
What are common evolution mistakes?
- Farming one Sprite color before reading the rest of the recipe.
- Using a unit-specific item or Rainbow Sprite without checking competing upgrades.
- Confusing a base name with the evolved form shown in parentheses.
- Treating a dated community recipe as permanent after a game update.
- Spending all Gold on evolution and leaving the unit or team unable to make the upgrades needed for the next stage.
- Following a disputed recipe because it appears cheaper than the version visible in-game.
What should you verify after evolution?
Confirm that the expected form is in the roster, then review its current role, equipment, and trait before spending again. Evolution completes one upgrade step; it does not automatically make every trait or item the right choice. Return to Units and Traits to plan the next decision separately.
