Anime Expeditions Summoning & Pity Guide: Banner Costs
Keep each pity counter straight, finish the ticket banner first, and make every Gem pull serve a roster need instead of chasing every rotation.
Single current guide checked
Which banner should a new player use first?
Use Beginner Tickets on the Beginner Banner before spending Gems on Standard or Mini banners. The Beginner Banner uses its own ticket currency, has a reported Mythic pity at 50 pulls, and gives a new account a defined stopping point without draining the Gems needed for later choices.
After the Beginner Tickets are gone, inspect the current featured pools. Use the Standard Banner when you want its broader pool or Secret track. Use a Mini Banner only when its smaller selection contains a unit your team actually needs. Use an event banner only after reading its currency, rates, pity, and end conditions in the live menu. Do not assume its rules match Standard.
The best banner is not automatically the newest one. It is the banner whose available units fill a missing role at a cost your account can support. If the roster already clears current Story stages, saving can be stronger than turning every 50 Gems into another low-impact duplicate.
How much does one summon cost?
The current public guide reports 50 Gems for one pull on the Standard and Mini banners. That makes 50 pulls cost 2,500 Gems, 400 pulls cost 20,000 Gems, and 10,000 pulls cost 500,000 Gems if the price stays unchanged and no discounted option applies.
Those totals are budgeting ceilings, not predictions of what you will spend. A unit can appear before pity. Free tickets, codes, events, or a banner-specific currency can change the effective cost. Always calculate from the live button because a multi-pull discount or update would make an old arithmetic table wrong.
| Goal | Reported threshold | Simple budget at 50 Gems per pull | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner Mythic | 50 Beginner pulls | 50 Beginner Tickets, not Gems | The ticket counter and remaining Beginner Banner pool. |
| Legendary pity | 50 pulls on Standard or Mini | 2,500 Gems | The counter on the selected banner and whether it resets after a Legendary. |
| Mythic pity | 400 pulls on Standard or Mini | 20,000 Gems | The exact banner counter and current Mythic pool. |
| Standard Secret pity | 10,000 pulls | 500,000 Gems | That Standard still shows the Secret counter and the target remains available. |
A huge theoretical Secret ceiling is not a sensible early target. Treat it as an explanation of the counter, not a recommendation to save half a million Gems. Most accounts gain more from a complete, affordable team than from postponing every upgrade for one distant roll.
Do pity counters carry between banners?
Do not assume carryover unless the live banner says so. The current guide reports separate pity counters for each banner. Standard, Mini, Beginner, and event banners can track progress independently. Pulling on one banner may leave another counter unchanged even when both display the same rarity thresholds.
Check the number immediately before and after one pull if you are uncertain. A featured Mini Banner can rotate while Standard remains, so do not move currency between them expecting the first counter to follow. Take a screenshot of a large counter before a rotation if the live interface does not explain what happens next.
Rarity counters may also reset when the matching rarity appears. Read the counter after a successful pull rather than estimating it from the number of summons you remember making. Ten-pull animations, free tickets, and pulls made on another banner make memory unreliable.
Is there soft pity in Anime Expeditions?
No confirmed soft-pity curve was found in the checked source. The guide describes hard thresholds, but it does not establish that the chance rises gradually as the counter approaches pity. Do not tell yourself that a pull is “due” unless the live panel states a guarantee.
Each pull before a hard threshold should be treated according to the displayed rate. A long losing streak does not prove the next non-pity pull has a higher chance. If a future update publishes a soft-pity rule, the Rates panel or an official announcement should define where it starts and how it changes.
This distinction protects your budget. “I am close enough that luck must improve” is not a rule. “The banner shows 12 pulls until a guaranteed Mythic” is a measurable decision.
What is the difference between Beginner, Standard, and Mini banners?
The Beginner Banner is the account-opening route. It uses Beginner Tickets and has a limited progression purpose. Standard is the broad, persistent Gem banner and, according to the checked guide, the one with a Secret pity track. Mini banners use Gems but present a smaller featured pool, making them useful when that selection has a specific answer for your team.
| Banner | Best use | Main risk | Good stopping rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner | Convert free Beginner Tickets into the first usable roster and work toward the reported 50-pull Mythic pity. | Ignoring it and spending Gems before using the account-specific currency. | Finish the available ticket route, then reassess the roster. |
| Standard | Build from the broader pool or deliberately advance a displayed persistent rarity counter. | Chasing a distant Secret target without enough Gems to maintain ordinary progression. | Stop after the needed role, the planned pity, or the session budget is reached. |
| Mini | Target a smaller pool when several featured outcomes help the account. | Splitting Gems across rotations and leaving every counter far from pity. | Skip unless the featured pool and live counter justify the spend. |
| Event | Chase a limited unit or event goal with the currency and rules shown for that event. | Assuming Standard rates, carryover, or pity apply when the event can use a separate system. | Set the maximum before spending and stop when the event goal or budget is reached. |
How should you decide whether to summon or save?
Write down the missing job before opening the banner. Early damage, boss pressure, area coverage, slow, damage over time, farm economy, and support are different needs. If the current pool does not improve the missing job, save. A rare unit that duplicates something you already do well may not help the next clear.
- Check what prevents progress on the next Story, Raid, Expedition, or event stage.
- Open the banner pool and identify every unit that solves that problem, not only the featured name.
- Read the current rates, pity counters, pull price, and rotation or event timer.
- Set a hard spending limit that leaves enough currency for the account's other goals.
- Stop after the needed role appears, the planned pity triggers, or the limit is reached.
If only one outcome helps and most of the pool is a duplicate, the banner is expensive even when its headline unit is excellent. If several outcomes improve the team, a smaller pool can be useful. Compare the roster, not the artwork.
How many Gems should you keep before pulling?
Keep enough for the stopping point you are prepared to reach. At the reported price, 2,500 Gems covers 50 pulls and 20,000 covers 400. If you start with 3,000 Gems while claiming to target Mythic pity, you are not following a pity plan; you are taking a limited set of chances.
That can still be a valid choice. A new account may need any usable upgrade and prefer a small budget. The important part is naming the choice honestly. “I will use 1,000 Gems and stop” prevents a failed session from consuming resources intended for later banners.
Do not include unredeemed codes in the budget until the rewards arrive. Check the current codes page, redeem in a current server, and verify the balance. Codes can expire or require progress, so a reported reward is not currency in your account yet.
When is an event banner worth using?
Use an event banner when the live pool has a unit that fills an important role, the event currency has no better use for your account, and the displayed pity or end condition makes the chase acceptable. Update 0.5 introduced a Villain Banner with four reported event units, but the site does not copy Standard pity onto that banner without a verified live rule.
Before spending Villain Coins, compare the event shop, battle pass, bounties, and other uses that are visible in your current server. A limited banner unit may be attractive, but a guaranteed shop purchase can be more useful than an uncertain pull. The Villain Invasion guide explains the archived Update 0.5 event loop and unit reports.
Do not rely on an invented event end date. The official Roblox event listing for Update 0.5 ran from 25 July to 1 August 2026; after that window, check the live event screen each session before spending or saving event currency. If a rerun or leftover shop appears, follow the live timer and claim wording.
What should you do with duplicate units?
Do not sell or consume a duplicate until you have checked the current unit, evolution, worthiness, transfer, and index systems. A duplicate may support progression or provide a safer copy for testing, while a low-value extra may be a source of Gold. The correct choice depends on the systems shown in your account.
Protect any unit with a rare trait, strong Stat Potential, useful equipment, or significant investment. Similar names can represent different forms, so compare the full displayed name and rarity. The units page separates base and evolved forms where current sources do.
If the game asks for confirmation before selling or transferring, read the full consequence. Summoning more copies does not make an irreversible action harmless. Lock or favorite important units if the live client provides that control.
Which summoning mistakes cost the most?
- Skipping Beginner Tickets: spending Gems first while free account-specific pulls remain unused.
- Splitting pity: making a few pulls on every Mini Banner and never approaching a planned threshold.
- Assuming carryover: expecting a counter to move with a rotating or event banner without live confirmation.
- Chasing rarity instead of a role: pulling another carry while the team still lacks early coverage, control, or economy.
- Believing in unconfirmed soft pity: spending beyond the limit because a lucky pull feels overdue.
- Counting reported codes early: planning with Gems that have not been redeemed successfully.
- Continuing after the goal: getting the needed unit and spending the remaining budget because the banner is still open.
The fix is one written stopping rule. Decide the banner, purpose, maximum pulls, and ending condition before the first animation. That rule matters more than any community claim about luck.
What is a sensible summoning plan for three account stages?
New account: use Beginner Tickets, build a small role-balanced team, redeem current codes, and avoid targeting Secret pity. A broad roster that clears Story creates more future currency than one distant chase.
Developing account: identify the next mode bottleneck, compare the Standard and Mini pools, and save toward a reachable pity only when several outcomes are useful. Stop spending on units that do not change the next clear.
Established account: treat banners as targeted upgrades. Compare a new unit with the evolved units, equipment, stats, and roles already owned. Keep a reserve for future updates and use event currency only after checking its other guaranteed purchases.
At every stage, a unit's public tier grade is a second step, not the first. Start with the role and mode, then read the dated tier list to see where current guides agree or disagree.
How can you verify a pity claim yourself?
- Open the exact banner and record its displayed counters, rates, price, and pool.
- Make one pull using the intended currency.
- Check which counter changed and by how much.
- If a listed rarity appears, check whether its matching counter resets.
- Repeat only within the spending limit chosen before the test.
This confirms the rules that matter to your account without guessing from another player's screenshot. Do not test a disputed reset or carryover rule with a large balance immediately before a rotation. Wait for clear live text or stronger evidence when the risk is high.
Where were these summoning details checked?
The reported banner types, separate pity counters, 50-Gem pull price, 50-pull Legendary threshold, 400-pull Mythic threshold, 10,000-pull Standard Secret threshold, and 50-ticket Beginner Mythic threshold come from the GuideDex gacha and pity guide, checked on 28 July 2026. That is one current independent source, so the Rates panel remains the final authority for any purchase.
